We, like other facilities, began to notice that obtaining the weights in the supply chain was becoming difficult. So, we began to make our own.
The first weights were rough looking, and it was difficult to keep the weight consistent. But they were for our use, and they worked. Gradually, the process was refined and the recipe perfected. We now offer our service the way we would like it. The stock weights are great and will perform excellently. However, if you want a unique design just for your hospital or department, we can do that for you at our facility in Fort Mill, SC.

Traction weights created by OP Medical Supply are made from non-ferrous, non-magnetic materials that are on the MRI-safe list. In addition to the standard 4” diameter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 pound weights and trees, we fabricate 8” diameter 5, 10, 15 and 20 pound weights. 4” and 8” weights can be used together on the same weight tree. The advantage is that you can get a great deal of weight in a very short stack.
We also offer traction rope, carabiners, ratchet hooks, multi-tree hangers, weight storage/transfer carts, and more. If placing an order of 100 pounds or more, we can provide our weights in additional colors. And for a one-time setup fee, we can create custom weights made with the logo of your hospital or practice.
